THE COMPANY

Both in Heléna's mother tongue (German) and in Abdiel's mother tongue (Mexican), a "paspartu" is a cardboard or cloth square that is placed between the frame and the framed object so that it stands out more; in French (the language in which these two came to know each other) a "passe-partout" is a key capable of opening multiple locks. For us it is also the contemporary circus company made up of Heléna and Abdiel. We specialize in Korean teeterboard, hand to hand, and aerial rope. The intersection between these disciplines with music, aesthetics, dance and theater create what we call circus.

Practicing and sharing those disciplines is what we love and is the ultimate reason for this company to exist. Paspartu is both a paspartu that allows us to highlight our circus in this frame that we call reality and at the same time a passe-partout that allows us to enter and adapt to new realities and new frameworks where we can practice it.

In other words, Paspartu is the way we have devised to navigate and share existence in a sensitive, playful, open and creative way.
